“La Toupie” has been abandoned for a long time and this strong symbol of Tadoussac is wasting away faster and faster. Restoration is imperative, but for what purpose?
In 2016, the designer Benjamin Van den Eede, on an excursion to Tadoussac, decided to look into the case of the abandoned structure.
By changing its assignment to a unique and unifying place, this breathtaking building could have a second life.
The transformation of this sea monster into a restaurant, conference room and spa could be the spark that will restore the city of Tadoussac its former reputation.
Like all of our work, we want to make it an example of ecological construction and operation.
