GRACE ISLAND
This project is one of the most ambitious that has been given to us for reflection.
The biggest problem of Monaco is the lack of territory and its always growing population. Also, we know The Prince of Monaco is having a great interest for new technologies and ecology.
The plan was to create a completely energy autonomous hotel that produce zero emission. A solution that could also resolve both of Monaco’s biggest problems. The ocean currents and the strong wind give us magnificent yields in electricity production to let us create project like the Grace Island.
The EDF company in France has developed tidal turbines of 16m in diameter each producing 1/2 GW.
The wind tree is also a magnificent aesthetic solution and which offers an electricity yield equal to the needs of 83 suites.
